PEER TO PEER MENTORING & MONITORING
The Haven’s innovative Mentoring and Monitoring Program provides the tools for students, parents and school administrators to distinguish casual partying from serious substance misuse and treat accordingly. This harm-reduction program provides peer recovery mentors, (regular/randomized) drug testing, and community support for students and parents seeking answers and accountability.
About Miami University
Miami is a public, residential university in Oxford, Ohio, with faculty who are dedicated to learning and discovery. A liberal education core provides the foundation for the more specialized studies of the majors. Immersing students in both academic and co-curricular experiences has enabled Miami to achieve a top-tier national ranking among universities that provide the best student outcomes.Founded in 1809, Miami's name reflects the history of the Native American tribe who once lived in the Miami Valley region of Ohio. Haven students attend the main campus in Oxford (enrollment approximately 17,327) and non-matriculated students can attend classes at one of the nearby regional campuses in Hamilton, Middletown and West Chester via shuttle from the Oxford campus. The 2019 U.S. News & World Report ranks Miami University #3 for undergraduate teaching nationwide, in good company with Princeton and Dartmouth. Miami has ranked in the top five on this short, elite list of universities for the past nine years.
